About Soy

1803 Candles - About Soy

We are proud to use pure soy wax from U.S. grown soybeans!

These soybeans are turned into soy wax after a hydrogenation process. Once the farmer has harvested the beans, they are dried and then hulled. After hulling, they are compressed and mashed into flakes. Once the beans are in a flake form, they are further compressed, and the oils are extracted. The oils are then put through a hydrogenation process and become the wax flakes that we then turn into your favorite soy candles!

Our soy wax is pure soy wax; it is not blended with any other type of oil or wax.

Soy candles are a cleaner-burning candle, say, as opposed to a paraffin candle. The combination of our cotton wicks and pure soy wax does not produce carcinogens when the candle is burning. This means no headaches or black soot.

We are immensely proud of our handmade products and stand behind them 100%!

 Enjoy!
